Tips for filling out the High Adventure Award Form

So you're filling out a High Adventure Award Form to obtain those nifty patches and you're nervous about getting everything right? Award forms are carefully screened by the High Adventure Team. If there are mistakes, you will receive a letter explaining what was wrong. You can avoid getting "the letter" by remembering the following:
  • HALTT or Water Trek certificate numbers are required. If you forgot your training number, please contact Laura Cartier (HALTT), laurajcartier<at>gmail.com, or Scott Bernet (Water Trek).
  • The HALTT number is not valid for Water Trek activities, nor vice versa.
  • The number of awards requested does not have to match the number of participants listed on the rear of the form. This is so that people who already have one or patches for an award, and do not want another one, can be identified. Regardless, all participants should be listed on the rear of the form.
  • The name of the person in charge of the High Adventure Activity is the HALTT (or Water Trek) trained person and not the Scoutmaster who was on the trip if he/she is not the HALTT trained adult.
