Orienteering Opportunities

Mataguay Scout Ranch

Try this 0.8-mile orienteering course at Mataguay. The course begins at the "A" Frame, next to the Oak trees in front of the patio facing the road. The first marker is very visible from the road.

BSA High Adventure Bases

Philmont High Adventure Base

Premier back country wilderness adventure base operated by BSA. Here is a link to their website.

If you are planning to earn the 50-miler patch at Philmont, you will need 10 hours of trail building work. Do 7 hours here locally and then pick up 3 at Philmont. See the Trail Building training page.

Northern Tier High Adventure Bases

Boundary waters canoeing and other other high adventure activities in the northern Minnesota and Canadian wilderness. Here is a link to their website.
